8. Changelog
2006-02-12 - V0.20.0-R2
It's been a long time we didn't update this changelog, even if DTC has evolved a LOT. Here are some of the newly added features:
The panel CVS version is in pre-release stage. The installer have been modified and it should be a lot cleaner now. Bad unic keys are removed when upgrading if you had that trouble in past versions. It alow now supports correctly FreeBSD dependencies using Apache2 (with php4 or 5), and there is also now a installer for Gentoo.
If you are using an RPM based system, Gentoo or FreeBSD, we would apreciate that you try the current version before it's release. The main trouble might be some bad path not set correctly under those OS, but appart from it there should be no worry (DTC now supports also mod_log_sql2). If you are using Debian, we just did a source package for mod_log_sql2 that will be released at the same time (we are working on a real-time bandwidth system by modifying mod_log_sql).
It's been a long time we didn't update this changelog, even if DTC has evolved a LOT. Here are some of the newly added features:
- Realtime bandwidth usage statistics for all services (http, mail, ftp...)
- Mailing lists using MLMMJ are now working fully with both Qmail and Postfix, and mhonarc does web archives each hours
- Added safe mode switch to be able to have a vhost without safe mode
- Added pure-ftpd compability, added TLS automatic config and certificate generation for Proftpd
- There's now more package in the package installer, including osCommerce
- Added mailqueue graph using RRDTOOLS
- Many debugs and improvements: the panel now install without EVEN ONE issue if using Debian.
- All the other things I forgot...

The dev team is putting all it's efforts on brigging a new fresh release with many improvement. This is clearly the end of support for Woody, 0.18 will be the one to upgrade when switching to Sarge. Here's the forthcomming new feature list :
The dev team is putting all it's efforts on brigging a new fresh release with many improvement. This is clearly the end of support for Woody, 0.18 will be the one to upgrade when switching to Sarge. Here's the forthcomming new feature list :
- Clamav & maildrop support with bad mail quarantine in an imap folder. (D. Mascord)
- Now made it work with mod_log_sql2 using \$ in table names of apachelogs and not # anymore. Old tables are converted to new format. BSD port reviewed a bit to use mod_log_sql2 and mysql 4.1 (it's now finaly compiling ok with no dependency problems). (many thanks to all people helping on BSD).
- Added port number to be able to support apache2. Might be configurable in the futur in the general config form.(thomas)
- Debian now asks to use vhost_nated IP for generating apache vhosts.
- There is now support for MLMMJ mailing lists. (Core done by Lucas with a bit of help from Damien and Qmail part by Thomas)
- Newly added admins are added with correct values.
- Corrected a bug for local delivery + redirection in postfix (when local delivery was set, no redirection possible)
- Reviewed and internationnalised the Tucows reseller interface, added a tucows API user/key form in the general config panel.
- There is now a complete new design thanks to Jerome Centex, thanks to him and his help.
- Added subaccount feature (reseller)
- Reviewed and internationnalised the Tucows reseller interface, added a tucows API user/key form in the general config panel. Removed the IN DEVELOPMENT warnings. Some work is remaining to be done to keep and manage Tucows domain name password stuff.
- New layout for the main root consol. You wont have to scroll again and again like before, main stuff is now divided in 2 parts.
- Many debugs
